Rebecca Stern

Rebecca Stern Audiobook Narrator
Warm, wise, and articulate general US accent.

I am an ethnic hybrid: 1/2 first-generation Jewish American (of both Spanish and German background) and 1/2 Mayflower descendant. My voice has been described as warm, expressive, articulate, and sincere. 40+ years as a professional orchestral violinist has instilled a deep love for the music of language and an ear for accents, as well as the ability to learn, be directed, and adapt. 10+ years as an Oncology Massage Therapist and Hospice volunteer lends a comfort with medical vocabulary and a voice that just oozes bed-side manner. When not in the booth, I practice meditation and yoga, as well as hiking, biking, and exploring the natural beauty of the Idaho home I share with my husband and two cats. And most recently, I'm studying Yiddish...in Hebrew script!

My well treated, quiet home studio includes an AKG c1000S condenser microphone, a UA Volt 276 interface, and Studio One/RX software on a MacBook Air. I am particularly passionate about narrating anything in the STEM and history fields, whether fiction or nonfiction...particularly if it celebrates women in these fields!
