Adaptable across genres, expressive, and text/character-focused

What began decades ago in the theatre as a director, producer, and dramaturg naturally expanded into audio narration, where I found another powerful way to bring words vividly to life. Working across mediums has given me a strong command of pacing, character development, tone, and emotional nuance—skills that serve me particularly well in contemporary and literary fiction, mystery/thriller, science fiction, and narrative nonfiction.

I’m drawn to titles in these genres because they’re the kinds of stories I love to read and listen to myself. Who doesn’t love the slow burn of a good thriller or the imaginative worlds of sci-fi? I also enjoy listening to other narrators, noticing little choices in pacing, tone, or character that inspire my own work.

My narration style really depends on the book. For literary and contemporary fiction, I lean toward a warm, natural read that draws the listener into the story. For psychological fiction or sci-fi, I tend to be more dramatic, working with pacing and emphasizing tension and atmosphere. I differentiate characters through shifts in voice. Overall, I aim to match the tone of the story while keeping the characters and emotional core front and center.
