Blaise Doran

I am a dual Australian and British national. My schooling was in Yorkshire and I lived in London for 20 years before I migrated to Australia in 2006. I currently live in Melbourne.
I trained as an actor in London at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA, now defunct), graduating in 1989.
My training included voice acting and microphone techniques.
While an actor in the UK, almost all my work was in theatre. This included roles in productions of Shakespeare (King Lear, Richard III, The Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet) and Marlowe (Edward II). I appeared in productions of modern classics and adaptations of novels (The Plough and the Stars, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Kes.) I have also performed in musicals and traditional pantomimes (Pacific Overtures, Piaf, Privates on Parade, Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty.)
All these experiences have contributed to the versatility of my voice acting capabilities. I have included a combined narration demo reel and some longer readings, all around 2 minutes long, and all of which were recorded in my home recording space. (They have all been engineered to meet the standards required for Amazon/Audible/ACX audio requirements.)
