Ann Richardson

Audiobook Production Services
Friendly, warm, intelligent, special interest in Swedish books and strong female main characters

Narrating since 2008, Ann has recorded over 350 audiobooks (as of 11/2023) and won several Earphones awards. She narrates for clients such as Audible, Blackstone, Brilliance, Dreamscape, Hachette, Harper, Macmillan, Oasis, PRH, Tantor, and many independent authors and smaller publishers. Non-fiction is Ann's wheelhouse, but she narrates significant numbers of cozy mysteries, clean romance, and oddly enough, Icelandic books. Ann speaks conversational Swedish and is adept at narrating books with Scandinavian and Nordic vocabulary and themes (She is half-Swedish and visits her family there every few years). Growing up in rural Nebraska has given Ann specialized knowledge of rural life, including 4-H, Lutheran potlucks, fishing and hunting, wildlife conservation, and horsey things. Now living in the San Francisco Bay Area, she enjoys long distance running, volunteering at the local homeless shelter's thrift store, and wine tasting. She is phobic of missing deadlines, and is easy to work with. She teaches introductory narrator classes for VoiceOne in San Francisco, and has developed a downloadable video course for new narrators on Narrator.Life. She's a member of the Audio Publisher's Association and Professional Audiobook Narrators Association.
