The King’s Collar books 1&2
I’m casting a male narrator with a vocal age in his 20s–30s for the first two books in a planned six-book series. We need someone who can begin as soon as possible and meet the following deadlines:
Book 1
Approximately 83,000 words
Final files due November 11 or earlier
Book 2
Approximately 77,000 words
Final files due January 6 or earlier
The rate is $350 per finished hour for fully edited, proofed, and mastered files ready for upload to ACX.
Most of the narration will be in a neutral Mid-Atlantic American accent, but the books include several character accents:
Boston Brahmin—think John F. Kennedy, perhaps with a little more drawl at times
Common Boston
Liverpool—punchy
Irish
Slight Eastern European for Solomon
Italian
Deep South
Because the schedule is tight, please audition only if you’re confident you can begin promptly and complete both books by the dates above.

The book is both a business and a spiritual memoir. It is a sequel to my earlier book, Zen Entrepreneurship. There are multiple characters in the book:
-myself
-Ellen, my girlfriend
-Ramaswami, a spiritual teacher
-Andrea/Vywamus – an older woman who channels a male spiritual teacher named Vywamus.
No AI auditions will be accepted; you should include at the beginning some way to distinguish that this is a human, for example, a cough or some other way to distinguish. I will ask for proof that the narrator is a real person and not a voice generated by AI, including running it through AI detectors.

This is a royalty share off for a just released ebook.
The genre is science fiction. This is the first book of a series. There will be four books in the series. I would like to find a narrator I can use for all four books. I would prefer to use the same narrator for all the books in this series. All books will be royalty share contracts.
There are no hard and fast rules for how best to narrate the script. I will select the voice I like best. All are welcome to audition. This is hard science fiction. Think along the lines of Foundation or Dune.
The audition script includes dialogue between two of the book’s main characters, Jorad and Dr. Aris Thorne. I have included links to character cards for each of these characters below so that narrators can get a sense of each to inform their audition.

I am looking for these factors in choosing the best narrator:
1) best voice for the book
2) ability to take charge with the characters (temperaments, voices, etc…). This means you can work independent of my direction and make your own decisions. Note: I will make myself available to answer specific questions, but I will not work with a narrator who bombards my email with multiple questions day in and day out.
3) Ability to create retail ready audio that will pass Inaudio and Audible requirements for produced audio files.
